Changan UNI-K iDD 2024 model launched

 

Let’s briefly talk about the characteristics of the new UNI-K iDD. The engine it is equipped with is still 1.5T, and the electric motor is still integrated in the 6DHT (hybrid transmission). This is a relatively special hybrid system. The transmission it uses is a "6-speed 3-clutch electric drive transmission". It can be understood as an upgraded version of a dual-clutch transmission that adds a drive motor and a set of clutches. The power reserve of the electric motor is 110kW/330N·m. This parameter shows that the acceleration feeling in the medium and low speed range is good, but the low power determines that the acceleration performance in the high speed range is average, and the high speed power consumption will be slightly higher.

The body size of UNI-K iDD is 4865*1948*1690 mm, with a wheelbase of 2890 mm. It is larger among medium-sized SUVs, but this car only provides a five-seat option; the advantages brought by the five-seat layout are large enough. The rear space and trunk space are a more ideal option for families who do not just need six or seven seats.
